Job Description
Provide an efficient and effective service and sales support service to one or more Client Directors and their portfolio of clients. You will act as a mentor to the wider team.
What you'll be doing:
1. Developing and maintaining exceptional levels of relationship and sales support to clients on behalf of Client Directors, acting as the first port of call for a client in their absence and coordinating the successful resolution of client enquiries.
2. Providing high-level technical support, demonstrating an understanding of a client's decision-making process and long-term objectives. Be able to answer complex queries as well as identify business opportunities and threats.
3. Identifying and following up on leads and sales opportunities with the intention of maximizing revenue.
4. Mentoring one or more team members and assisting with their training and development, also becoming an additional escalation point.
5. Reviewing and signing off draft instructions for the team and your peers, attending meetings/conference calls as required, and taking sole responsibility for audit and operational meetings when opportunities arise.
6. Demonstrating a high level of technical knowledge in areas such as LGIM products, brand, services, and competitors in the market. Develop and maintain knowledge of the current investment market, economic issues, and LGIM's views to discuss solutions with clients and consultants.
7. Preparing meeting packs for client meetings and new business pitches while maintaining excellent working relationships around key business areas.
8. Working with areas of expertise around the business to project manage ad-hoc queries, data requests, and client changes to completion in line with client expectations, overseeing and assisting with the production of legal documentation, reports, and client-specific data relevant to the clients' investment strategy.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
1. Strong academic background.
2. Degree qualified (preferably 2.1) or equivalent & IMC.
3. Strong overall investment knowledge, including an understanding of different investment vehicle options.
4. Good negotiation skills and strong interpersonal skills.
5. Excellent written communication skills.
6. Knowledge of current investment market and economic issues.
7. Excellent IT skills.
8. Detailed institutional investment product knowledge, LDI, cash flow matching, credit, real assets, and index funds knowledge (desirable).
9. Report writing experience and project management skills (desirable).
10. Experience within the investment management industry, including providing an exceptional level of client service and sales support.
11. Demonstrable track record of dealing with external clients and building significant relationships with external contacts up to and including senior levels.
12. Institutional client experience.
