About Us
Rockliffe Hall is an AA-rated 5 red star resort in the north of England, set within 375 acres outside the village of Hurworth, near Darlington in County Durham. We aim to provide an outstanding personalised service to each guest who stays, spas, golfs, and dines with us, acknowledging special occasions and making them memorable. We are currently seeking an Event Officer Manager to join Team Rockliffe!
The Role
The main responsibilities of the Event Officer Manager role will include:
1. Be an integral member of the Commercial team, working closely with the Commercial Manager and Revenue Manager to ensure maximisation of Function space, Bedrooms, Food & Beverage, Spa & Golf as a Resort at all times from a sales perspective, including maximising function room sales revenue and profit through pro-active selling and commercial management techniques.
2. Ensure the Co-ordinators are following up all contracts to confirmed bookings, ensuring the hotel and company standards are maintained; identifying all sales opportunities and effectively converting them into bookings.
3. Maximise selling opportunities by encouraging upselling at every opportunity and supporting the team to deliver this.
4. Build working relationships with any company or organiser you come into contact with to ensure rapport and confidence is instilled with the client and guarantee repeat business.
5. Maintain a full and up-to-date knowledge of hotel products and services and pass potential leads to the Business Development Manager for follow-up.
6. Exhibit strong commercial awareness and see opportunities to encourage additional revenue.
7. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with guests and colleagues at all levels while maintaining professionalism at all times.
8. Brief/train the team on any new promotions, procedures, and internal issues of which they need to be aware.
