Location: Basingstoke Aquadrome
Contract Type: Full Time
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, including earlies, lates, and weekends
Salary: £23,860 per annum + Excellent Benefits
Here at Basingstoke and Deane Community Leisure Trust, our goal is to encourage active, healthy lifestyles in an environment that is safe, warm, clean, friendly, and fun. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer-focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit a Senior Lifeguard to join our centre.
As the Senior Lifeguard, the purpose of the role will be to work within the centre while ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care. You will report to the Duty Manager and, in their absence, manage the facility and ensure all activities are delivered to a high standard.
You will be involved in supervising specific activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and working on the safe handling and setup of equipment.
Without you, there can't be any pool activity. But you won't be working alone. Our leisure centre has a close-knit and supportive team, all working towards providing an inclusive leisure hub for the entire community.
We share your passion for leisure, and we will offer a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities. You will also receive free gym membership and other various discounts.
Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.
About You
We are looking to hear from candidates who have previous experience in a leisure environment, as well as pool supervision, and can demonstrate a can-do attitude to get the job done.
As the Senior Lifeguard, you'll need to be safety conscious, vigilant, and able to deal with pressurised situations. Strong swimming skills are essential, and you must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society) or equivalent, along with a first aid qualification to be considered for this role.
If you feel you meet the above criteria, please apply today!
