Job Description
Job Title: Logistics Specialist II
Reports To: EMEA Logistics Manager
Group/Division: SID

Position Summary:
This position is a European centralised function. It is to act as a senior within a team who are responsible for coordinating and maintaining the inventory transactions for both our European Distribution Centre and our Field Service Engineers. The requirement for this role is to provide day to day support to the Sr Inventory Coordinators and to be the authority on the processes which are primarily – but not limited to – FSE orders, returns, invoicing and general stock queries.
The successful candidate will need to be confident, happy to host phone calls/meetings, flexible to join meetings with employees in other time zones, a good communicator, resourceful and able to retain information.
Main Activities / Responsibilities
• Provide support to the Order Logistics Team (OLT) for daily operational queries
• Create task rota for OLT
• Represent logistics team / host projects as required
• Participate in MBR/improvement calls/bi-weekly calls with our 3PL
• Perform SAP and C4S User Acceptance testing
• Arrange and coordinate the yearly stock count processes including count scheduling, report outs to finance and gaining necessary approvals
• Highlight areas of backlog and put in place short term plans for fast reductions
• Onboard and train new employees
• Problem solve various issues caused by the 3 PL failure to follow procedures or errors resulting from shipping or picking.
• Root cause stock discrepancies in both warehouse and consignment stock, provide solutions to prevent re-occurrence
• To be able to provide a set of reports to include inventory management, aged RMA’s and open invoice values
• Use Power BI to gain data to support operations
• Work with inter company commercial organisations to resolve any mis-shipments, including paperwork, credits and replacements
• Use CSS complaints tool to log any issues with our 3PL (deviations from their standard business processes or failure to achieve Key Performance Indicators)
• Communicate daily with the 3PL Warehouse to review and challenge any deliveries not shipped. Log reasons for failure to ship – seek ways to improve same day shipment where necessary
• Coordinate daily cycle count activities with 3PL warehouse and perform necessary system adjustments to align inventory. Weekly report out to finance.
• Monitor Idocs between third party warehouse and SAP – identify issues and resolve in a timely manner. Highlight trends
• Liaise with the 3PL and Field Service Engineers / Commercial Organisations to resolve return discrepancies
• Review and perform consignment stock write off requests
• Daily carrier exception reporting – liaise with customers and couriers to have shipment issues resolved
• Record and report issues from diverse team members with relevant third party and internal partners
• Investigate and coordinate resolution and reshipment of orders returned to the warehouse by carriers. Monitor for trends
• Coordinate globally contained SKU’s to be returned from consignment stock
• Where requested, co-ordinate FSE trunk stock optimization requests
• General problem solving for all aspects of the role to be performed autonomously on a day to day basis
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, ability to work across all levels and functions
• Demonstrates strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities
• Self-motivated
• Patient and understanding
• Willingness to travel within Europe/European Territory if needed, mainly for meetings and training purposes.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred
• Additional Language skills is a positive asset
• Proven experience in a supply chain environment
• Good problem solving skills
