We are looking for an individual with proven management and leadership skills. Is this you?
You will be working collaboratively with other senior leaders to ensure that annual programmes of prioritised learning and development and flexibility within teams is maximised to meet organisational need. This includes working closely with other departments to ensure that initial training programmes and mandatory training courses (amongst other events) are scheduled to meet Constabulary needs.
You are to support Resourcing Skills and Development (RSD) to engage within the Policing Plus and the implementation and delivery of other apprenticeships.
As a representative of the RSD department, you will be liaising with relevant parties and bodies, both internally and externally and participating on Project Boards, committees, working parties and Regional and National Groups as required regarding training matters.
Job Title : L&PD Business Support Manager
Location : Netley, on site parking available. Please note that this role involves management of two teams and travel to Netley and Southwick Park will be required.
A hybrid working environment with flexible working hours.
Hours : 37 hours per week
Contract : Permanent
Closing Date : Sunday 6th October at 23.59 hours
Other duties for the role include:
1. Leading, managing and motivating staff to ensure continued staff competency.
2. Conducting performance reviews and dealing with unsatisfactory performance, discipline and welfare of staff.
3. Collating and maintaining information regarding the capacity and capability of RSD to inform decisions around the annual training plan and ad hoc requests and produce monthly management information.
4. Tracking attendance at all training in order for officers and staff to maintain their licence to police/practice to ensure that officers across the force can deliver the force priorities.

Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 6 - Bachelor’s degree OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
Proven experience of managing teams in an administrative environment.
