Key Responsibilities as an SEN Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of children with SEND. Foster a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Set high expectations to inspire and challenge pupils. Assess and monitor pupil progress, ensuring each child reaches their full potential. Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupil development. Contribute to the school’s curriculum and wider school community. SEN Teacher Skills & Requirements: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Have experience working with children with special educational needs (ASC and SEMH experience is desirable). Experience working with SEN learners and managing EHCPs. Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and classroom adaptations. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students with diverse needs. A creative, adaptable approach to lesson planning and delivery. Must be able to commute to Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
