Job Description: We're on the lookout for a dynamic and caring Children's Residential Support Worker to join our squad! In this role, you'll be the beacon of hope, providing unwavering support to our young champions. Get ready to make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most.
Requirements:
* Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a registered manager.
* Passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
* Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed care practices.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Valid driver's license and access to own transport.
* Previous experience in a residential care setting or similar environment (Preferred).
Responsibilities:
* Forge bonds fostering trust and belonging.
* Lead activities that fuel growth.
* Monitor progress and well-being, reporting any concerns promptly.
* Maintain safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
* Act as a positive role model to give encouragement and praise.
* Enjoy fun days out such as swimming, go karting, skating and revisit missed milestones.
* Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations.
* Build friendships and trusting relationships.
* Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks.
* Empower them to make decisions about themselves.

Our Working Shift Patterns:
Your working week will vary, according to the needs of the service and our children, but would be made up of:
* Early Shifts (7am – 2.30pm).
* Late Shifts (2pm – 11pm).
* Long Day (8am – 11pm).
* Sometimes there may be ‘split’ shifts (7am – 10am – 2pm – 11pm).
* Sleep in shifts.
This includes alternative weekend covering shift. Flexibility is the key – as we work with people, things can change with little or no notice.
