The project:
The project is situated on the Whiteknights campus of The University of Reading, a new Net Zero Carbon building funded by The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology through the Government Property Agency. The building will be the headquarters for ECMWF, an independent intergovernmental organisation supported by 35 states. ECMWF is both a research institute and a 24/7 operational service, producing and disseminating numerical weather predictions to its Member States. The new building will include workspaces, conference centre, council chamber, restaurant/canteen, gym, weather room, central atrium, and support functions.

* You will mitigate risks and protect project margins, seeking profit opportunities through change and cost reduction measures such as value engineering.
* You will operate collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, sharing responsibility for the net zero carbon transition and managing associated emissions reductions.

Requirements:
* Proficiency in MS Office tools.
* Experience in subcontract profit and loss reporting, cost control systems, value engineering, and monthly commercial reporting.
* Strong planning, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
* Leadership qualities, including leading by example.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent; CSCS certification.
Additional skills:
* Knowledge of Contract Management and JCT Contracts.
* Ability to manage complex technical tasks and build client relationships.
* Chartered MRICS or equivalent status.
