Health and Safety Administrator Permanent Huddersfield / Brighouse Salary £25k benefits Our client is a successful and expanding manufacturer, they have a need for an health and safety administrator who can play a vital role within the health and safety team. You will, amongst other tasks help with the following Support the delivery of training sessions, including toolbox talks and EHS inductions. Liaise with Department Managers to order workwear garments. Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining records, responding to emails, and assisting with basic EHSS administrative duties (this list is not exhaustive). Provide general support and assistance to the EHSS department. Assist the EHSS Advisor with health and safety monitoring activities and compile information related to general concerns. Support the internal reporting systems and follow up on any actions. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and communicate this to the appropriate departments. Attend and minute EHS Committee meeting. Upload training materials Support and conduct EHS inspections and manage month-end EHS inspection administration. Arrange rotas for EHS inspections, racking, EHS dates, and defibrillator checks. Organise external training sessions and manage the training on site. Create posters like safety week or occupational health campaign Manage safety glasses vouchers The right health and safety administrator will have can do attitude, with a desire to learn and progress, and you will have Good numeracy and literacy, GCSE grade 5 or above in Maths and English Attention to Detail, ensuring accuracy in inspections, reports, and documentation is crucial. Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with team members, managers, and other departments. Proactive Attitude, taking initiative to identify potential hazards and suggest improvements. Organizational Skills, managing multiple tasks, maintaining records, and meeting deadlines. Willingness to Learn, being open to new information and continuously improving your knowledge and skills. Basic Knowledge of EHS Principles, understanding the fundamentals of environmental, health, and safety regulations and practices. Problem-Solving Skills, identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
