The Role
As an Infrastructure Architect you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the overall structure of an organisation’s technological infrastructure. This includes the hardware, software, networks (Private Cloud), and other essential components that support the organization’s IT systems. In this role you will assess the existing operation’s resources and determine any changes that may be needed and make recommendations. You will provide ongoing support and advice to ensure the infrastructure continues to support fluctuating demands. In this role you will work in collaboration with IT, operations, and other teams to develop strategies and action plans for implementing upgrades and integrations.
Key responsibilities:
* Design high availability solutions at infrastructure level in and to implement cyber security components/solutions in the private cloud environment.
* Monitoring and management solution on cloud, implementing DNS, Load Balancer, Clusters in HA as required.
* Exercise customer centric technical workshops as part of finalising architecture and design before implementation.
* Provide architecture leadership across multiple infrastructure teams.
* Provide ongoing advice to projects around technical solutions, best practices, and efficiencies.
* Engage with stakeholders, understand their needs, and then translate those needs into a minimum viable product.
* Continuous review of current environment to detect deficiencies, recommend, plan and implement solutions for improvement.
* Provide leadership for strategic planning or complex problem solving for programs and projects including the creation, maintenance, and governance of roadmaps
* Document performance criteria and testing strategies, quantify results, trade-offs and recommendations using a data-driven approach to support conclusions.
* Facilitate, communicate, collaborate and persuade others in defining, adopting and implementing a coherent technical architecture.
* Lead / coordinate to identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve enterprise IT capabilities resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction.
* Develop and lead architecture definition of Cloud Computing solutions (CSP, Private Cloud, SaaS) addressing the full lifecycle from, requirements development, technical planning, system integration, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation, design, build, cost, deploy, through sustainment.
* Establish best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches related to digital modernization and transformation technologies with emphasis on application of evolving Network technologies and approach to integrate into existing customer enterprises.
* Assess and mentor the technical talent and solution architects in the organization to meet the current and future (new market) business challenges
* Ability to plan and carry out industry trends and competitor product/solution analysis effectively.
* Participate, Contribute, Present, Review, Analyze solutions in the Technical Design Governance Forum and Change review board.
* Evaluate products and design the best solution and perform PoC for the requirement, leading to a successful implementation.
* Support and provide solutions in case of event/Major Incident minimizing business impact and ensuring service restoration the earliest. Provide proactive and preventive best solutions.
* Lead/Support initiatives to reduce technology operational risks with best-in-class solutions / design / strategy.
* Exercise automation in the activities to the maximum extent possible.
* Maintain awareness and expertise of the latest cloud and infrastructure, orchestration, and automation visualization technologies in order to proactively support the adoption of truly beneficial new capabilities.
* Evolve current legacy network service and solution offerings into next generation capabilities aligned to new and emerging business needs.

Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Extensive experience in technical solution implementations in infrastructure domain with up-to-date knowledge on cloud-based technologies
* Capable of technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases, and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership whilst implementing technical solutions, should have worked on ITSM implementations and security compliance and management.
* Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with corporate executives CxO Levels and technical teams. Proven Customer Consulting Experience.
* Demonstrated Infrastructure architect experience at expert level (for a large global enterprise)
* Demonstrated experience with private cloud compute and store technology and familiarity with on premises or traditional compute and store technology and understanding of its principles and best practices.
* Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and maintenance of production applications in Private Cloud, Azure and / or AWS cloud.
* Experience with application migrations to Commercial / Private Cloud environments.
* Deep knowledge and understanding of IAAS & PaaS features.
* Good knowledge of IaaS (VMs, VNET etc)
* Experience in designing, building and passing into BAU large customer LAN and SDWAN environments mainly based around Cisco ACI infrastructures with various firewalls to act as a perimeter for cloud solutions, (virtual and physical devices like Cisco, Checkpoint and Fortinet)
* Good Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD on DevOps or GitHub (Actions), Container platforms.
* Knowledge and implementation in discovery and analysis of environments, migration approach, migration methodology, migration tools selection and evaluation.
* Strong technical breadth and depth in support of the government markets and in DoD Compute and Storage solution design, implementation, operations, and modernization with associated cyber network defense solutions.
* Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to take decisions in a hostile environment.
* Ability to interact & coordinate with people across geographies with multiple stakeholders.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience
* TOGAF certified
* Implemented at least 1 end-to-end infrastructure transformation solution to a global customer
* Have L4 level experience in network architecture & design along with L3 knowledge on other technologies
