Role - Project Director
Location - Suffolk
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Director to join the team at Galliford Try within our Infrastructure Business.
As Project Director you will report to the Area Director and be responsible for successful delivery of complex projects, safely, on time, to specification, and to the satisfaction of the client. You will be an advocate of Delivering Excellence and a role model for your team, maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders.
You will:
1. Create a safe and positive working environment.
2. Promote a culture of inclusive customer service and equal opportunities.
3. Ensure that the principles of CDM are applied and relevant legislation is complied with.
4. Embed a Challenging Beliefs Affecting Behaviour culture.
5. Engage with designers to ensure a safe, buildable and timely design is achieved.
6. Ensure all pre-commencement and regulatory requirements are discharged prior to work commencing.
7. Champion the use of innovative technologies and techniques.
8. Take ownership of risk & opportunities in conjunction with the commercial team.
9. Ensure any incidents/accidents are thoroughly investigated, closed out and learnings implemented.
10. Take ownership for the delivery and quality of work to the required standards.
11. Ensure adequate resource to fulfil the programme.
12. Manage, develop, monitor and review direct reports and team performances.
13. Drive strategic leadership.
14. Be responsible for the financial performance of the project.
15. Significant contribution to the business unit.
16. Build effective working relationships throughout the business.
About You:
Competency Requirements:

2. Proven experience in successfully managing multiple teams.
3. First class project management capabilities.
4. Expertise in planning and programming.
5. Technically proficient with current construction methodologies.
6. Expertise in developing a performance culture.
7. Advanced communication skills.
8. Excellent contractual knowledge.
9. Proven leadership and delegation skills.
10. Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities.
Technical/Professional Qualifications Required:
1. Relevant CSCS card.
2. SMSTS.
3. Relevant site management qualifications.
4. Professional qualified i.e. MCIOB.
5. HNC/Degree.
