Personal assistant required to support me to live independently in my own home. I would like a personal assistant to support me to keep my house clean. I have got a disability (Cerebral palsy) and I have had this disability my whole life, but I do not let this stop me from doing anything that I want to do. I do drive my own vehicle and would like a driver sometimes. The main jobs are to support me with shopping, cleaning giving me a shave, cooking meals, support me with phone call and also cutting my fingers and toes nails. I would like support to go for medical appointment to the hospital and doctors. I could be having an operation this year. We will be doing some activities too sometimes. I have also got a care companies in to do most of my personal care they come in 4 times a day to get me up and give me all my medication though out the day.
Duties and responsibilities:
Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks
Assist with household chores and general homemaking
Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors
Support with food shopping
Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities
Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship
Support with managing paperwork and correspondence
Support with gardening
Nail care
