Purpose of the Role
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead A2Dominion’s digital, IT, and data strategy – enabling modern, secure and efficient services across the Group. A strategic and delivery-focused leader, you will drive innovation, oversee digital transformation, and ensure the organisation has the right tools, systems and capabilities to deliver for our residents and stakeholders.
As a member of the Executive Management Team, you will be a key strategic partner to the CEO and Board – providing insight, challenge and forward-thinking leadership on all things digital. You’ll drive smarter, more efficient ways of working – combining innovation with a sharp eye on value for money. With a focus on doing things differently and doing them well, you’ll help build a modern, secure and customer-focused organisation. You’ll be joining a supportive, ambitious Executive team at a time of change and opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Develop and lead the Group’s IT, data and digital transformation strategy to meet current and future business needs.
* Provide expert guidance to the CEO, Board and Committees on technology, data and digital risk.
* Embed a digital-first culture across the organisation, ensuring alignment with A2Dominion’s mission and values.
Digital Transformation
* Oversee the design and delivery of modern, user-focused digital platforms for customers and colleagues.
* Drive business process simplification, automation and cost optimisation.
* Ensure all systems support our compliance, building safety and data reporting obligations.
Data & Cyber Governance
* Lead the Group’s data strategy – improving data quality, access, security and value.
* Ensure robust cyber security measures are in place and regularly tested.
* Oversee business continuity planning and IT risk management.
Operational Leadership
* Lead and develop a high-performing, inclusive IT and digital team.
* Manage strategic supplier relationships and outsourced delivery models, ensuring value for money.
* Build capability across the business to use data and digital tools confidently.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
* Proven IT and digital leadership at a senior level in a large, complex or regulated organisation.
* Successful delivery of organisation-wide digital and data transformation.
* Strong track record in cyber security, data governance and risk.
* Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and third-party suppliers.
* Board-level stakeholder management.
Knowledge & Skills
* In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, service design and technology governance.
* Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to data, systems and risk (housing sector knowledge desirable).
* Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent in IT, business or related field.
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CISM, CISSP, ITIL) desirable.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
