The Herts Waste Partnership (HWP) is looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to support our partner authorities in developing and implementing crucial projects that enhance service efficiency in waste collection, recycling, disposal, treatment, and education. You will provide effective support to develop projects, policies, plans, and delivery mechanisms that improve service efficiency, ensuring targets, timescales, and budgets are met. Additionally, you will coordinate key communication messages and content for WasteAware campaigns, support shared communication activities, and contribute to the preparation of reports for various audiences. About the role Your responsibilities will include reviewing best practices, analysing waste data, representing HWP at meetings, promoting partnerships, preparing meeting papers, contributing to HWP meetings, assisting with formal Member meetings, responding to enquiries, monitoring HWP expenditure, and developing strategies for engaging stakeholders. You will also build an HWP library of responses, act as the lead officer for presentations, develop shared campaigns, coordinate county-wide communications, and maintain the WasteAware website and social media channels. About you To be successful in this role, you should have a degree or equivalent experience in waste or environmental issues, excellent organisational and administration skills, project management experience, advanced interpersonal and team working skills, and good political awareness. Strong communication skills, IT literacy, and experience in developing social media content, and communicating difficult messages is also essential.
