The Role The successful candidate will need at least 2 years of experience operating folder gluing machines, including setting up and maintaining them. Proficiency in handling various gluing styles such as straight line, crash lock, complex bespoke customer designs and multi-point gluing. Proven problem-solving skills with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues in a timely manner. You will have the drive to improve overall performance in the Finishing department where possible and understand where excellence \u2018\u2019is\u2019\u2019 and implement the processes to get there, consistently improving Finishing team performance. In addition to inspecting the quality of the products printed, ensuring they are to the customer\u2019s specification and deliverer On Time in Full (OTIF). Key Accountabilities Include: - To meet set targets on complex machines - To undertake training on all processes that are used in the department. - Completing job and operator shop floor data capture (SFDC) accurately - Working to the daily scheduling priority order, collect relevant Work-in-Progress and convert to the customer specification to ensure delivery to customers On Time in Full (OTIF) - Adherence to Health and Safety best practices in line with Company policy and current legislation - To maintain all machinery and equipment in line with established planned maintenance programmes - To keep work area clean and tidy ensuring that the highest standards of housekeeping are always maintained. - Maximising machine efficiency & participate in continuous improvement initiatives in production. - Work within the Complex Operator Agreement - Knowledge, skills and experience include: - Proven experience running complex folder gluer machines such as Bobst Alpina 110 & Signature Eilte - Ability to work with others. - Eye for detail - Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with other production colleagues, and to site management. - Ability and willingness to work as an effective part of a team and on own when required and documented procedures. - Open to new and improved ways of working - Willing and able to work to and achieve daily targets. - Good housekeeping skills Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
