Purchasing Coordinator AASC, Birchwood, Warrington, WA3 7PB Full time, 37.5 hours per week. 2 days homebased, 3 days office based. Monday – Friday. Salary: £23,000.00, plus Serco Benefits. A key member of the Business Support team, this role is crucial to ensure effective running of all Purchasing and Invoicing activity in relation to AASC contract operations and overall contract management. Main Accountabilities: Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally across the AASC contract to ensure excellent service delivery standards. Maintain data integrity of the IT systems to support Right First-Time finance and reporting. Produce reports, briefings, and information updates to a high standard within limited timeframe. Carry out all purchasing activity to include PO processing, invoice processing, payment processing. Identify problems and solutions to ensure all payments are processed effectively and within Serco Financial performance KPIs for paying suppliers on time. Deal with vendor queries daily and escalate to Office & Contract Support Manager where appropriate. Prepare and provide regular vendor statements to Heads of Field Ops to allow for management of open PO’s. Contribute to operational excellence within the Business Support Team. Support wider Business Support Team with amongst other thing daily monitoring and management of Complaints and Feedback Mailbox, processing complaints as required and ensuring adherence to response standards, KPI 8 timescales and customer escalations and requests. Any other duties as required commensurate with this role. What you’ll need to do the role: Ability to successfully engage and create successful working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to communicate information updates across the contract. Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to manage and deliver a variety of priority tasks, prioritising own workload to meet specific timescales without prompt. Demonstrable MS Excel skills Strong ICT skills. Previous experience of working with SAP or purchase ledgers is desirable, or within an accounts payable background. Additional/Special features of the role Ability to travel within the regions and occasionally within the UK (a valid UK driver’s licence is essential). Security clearance at Counter Terrorism Check level and Criminal Record Bureau checks are required (the role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and all offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office).
