We have an exciting opportunity for caring and understanding individuals with a creative nature to join our new service in Lenzie as Support Practitioners on a full-time basis (39 hours per week). You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner along with the opportunity to complete a fully funded SVQ.
The Role
You’ll be supporting an18 years old lady with Autism, mental health and behaviours of concern who is moving into her first home after a lengthy period in hospital. We’ll be looking to you to help support her learn life skills, including cooking and looking after her home along with exploring new hobbies and integrating with her local community.
As a Support Practitioner you will assist with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, support with moving and handling and personal care. The young lady is very close with her family and enjoys spending time with them and chatting on the phone. With your support you’ll reduce social isolation and enable her to grow in confidence and independence.

Shift Patterns
Our new team will provide 24/7 support on a 2:1 basis which will include earlies, lates, sleepovers and waking nights. Start and finish times may vary as the young lady settles into her new routine.
The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours, so for every sleep you cover you will receive an additional £90.40 in your pay.
