We're looking for a Finance Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team on the Southern Water contract.
Location: Falmer, East Sussex - hybrid working available, with travel to the Falmer office 1-2 days per week
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As a Finance Manager, you'll be working within the Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team, supporting them in the delivery of all Finance Matters with our contract with Southern Water.
Your day to day will include:
* Provide front line financial support to local and regional management teams
* Preparation and submission of weekly cash forecasts
* Oversee the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting, including contract performance, productivity analysis and cost base and WIP reports
* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
* Ensure robust control of balance sheet, CVR's (Cost and Value Summaries) and working capital
* Partnering the Commercial and Operational teams in the preparation of short to medium term forecasts, and provide insight and analysis on performance drivers
What are we looking for?
This role of Finance Manager is great for you if:
* An ability to manage large scale projects under frameworks
* Previous experience in similar role on a wide range of similar projects
* Demonstrable experience within the utilities sector including civil engineering requirements, electrical cabling, equipment, sub-station and associated civils works, within electrical compounds
* Proven self-management, communication, and IT skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with client representatives, subcontractors, and others
* Excellent analytical, numerical, and planning skills
* Ability to be self-motivated and work co-operatively as part of a team
