Job Description We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team in Culham, United Kingdom. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising our organisation's IT infrastructure within the Microsoft and Azure Stack, ensuring smooth operations and robust security measures - Design, implement, and maintain IT systems and networks, including servers, storage, virtualisation platforms, and cloud-based services, to support business operations. - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, security, and reliability. - Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity measures to protect organizational data and systems. - Create documentation for IT processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects, staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in IT systems administration. - Expertise in managing Windows and Linux servers, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation, along with strong knowledge of networking protocols and cybersecurity best practices. - Experience with backup, disaster recovery systems, and familiarity with IT service management tools and the ITIL framework. - Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA Server), excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively under pressure.
