The Experiences department is a vital revenue generator, making a significant financial contribution to Chester Zoo and delivering experiences for over 5,000 guests each year.
The Experiences Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of the department; ensuring the team achieves KPI targets, maximizes income, and performs to the best of their ability. The Experiences Supervisor will manage the full remit of administrative duties that arise when managing a team, for example, managing rotas. The supervisor will also oversee the team of hosts, ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered across all channels, including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. Additionally, they will supervise/manage the hosts to ensure the team consistently delivers a high standard of service through all forms of interaction.
We’re looking for a friendly, confident, and passionate individual who is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll have a genuine enthusiasm for people management and enjoy handling administrative tasks in a dynamic and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
* Previous supervisory experience working in a sales/customer experience environment.
* Proven experience line managing a team and the full remit of accountabilities that come with this.
* Experience in handling various administrative duties, such as creating rotas, managing data in time management systems, and creating and completing risk assessments.
* A “can do and adaptable attitude,” showing pride in their work.
* Strong communication skills across multiple platforms (phone, email, and face-to-face).
* Be a confident public speaker who is able to engage a large audience.
* Experience of cash handling, including cashing up.
* A good working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, writing procedures, and risk assessments.
* A high level of computer literacy and competence in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
* A full driving licence valid in the UK.

* Permanent contract
* £28,898.96 per annum based on 40 hours per week
