About The Role As our Bid Manager, you’ll take full ownership of bids from qualification to contract award, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver compelling, high-quality submissions. Your expertise will help shape strategic, commercially competitive bids, ensuring alignment with client needs and market trends. This role will be based at our offices in Hereford, but individuals need to be comfortable with travel across the UK for events and client visits when not over Teams. Key Responsibilities Bid Leadership – Manage the complete bid lifecycle, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver winning proposals. Strategic Pricing – Work with the Head of Bids & Tenders to develop a price-to-win strategy, liaising with finance to present commercially sound solutions. Stakeholder Collaboration – Motivate, challenge, and direct subject matter experts, translating complex information into clear, persuasive submissions. Process & Quality Management – Ensure all bids align with evaluation criteria, client specifications, and internal approvals. Market Intelligence – Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity to refine our bid strategies. Performance Monitoring – Track bid metrics, such as win rates, to continuously improve our approach. About You To be successful in this role you will need: Demonstrable delivery of complex, high value Public Sector bids, preferably within the payments sector. Proven experience in mentoring and developing team members, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to make data-driven decisions. Self-motivated with a relentless drive for results and a strategic mindset. Strong commercial acumen to understand the implications of pricing submissions. The ability to build excellent working relationships across an array of stakeholders. To be highly organised with excellent attention to detail. To be educated to degree level or equivalent. APMP qualified to Practitioner level.
