We are looking to recruit a Children's Complex, Palliative and Bereavement Nurse Specialist. The post holder will co-ordinate and plan care for patients with complex care needs moving towards end of life care. They will also provide bereavement support for families following the death of a baby, child, or young person up to the age of 18 years.
You will work together with the Neonatal Complex, Palliative and Bereavement Nurse Specialist and also provide cover cross site for both Derby and Burton Hospital.
Main duties of the job
* Co-ordinate and plan care for patients with complex care needs moving towards end of life care.
* Provide bereavement support for families following the death of a baby, child, or young person up to the age of 18 years.
* Delivering the key worker role as defined in the Child Death Review Statutory and Operational Guidance (2018). Including working with the paediatric and neonatal governance team, under the guidance of the Clinical Governance Facilitator (CGF), to ensure the Trust requirements in relation to the statutory guidance are met.
