PMO Manager
Initial 6 month duration - potential to extend
Hybrid working (2 days per week onsite in Warwick office)
Daily rate £500 - £550 per working day via Umbrella Company

My high profile Energy client requires a PMO Manager for their dynamic Portfolio Office. This pivotal role will lead the Project Management Office for one of their Strategic Energy Planning (SEP) programmes. You will be responsible for establishing and managing all aspects of PMO management, including planning, risk management, reporting, and dependencies. Your experience with various project types will be crucial, and flexibility in work assignments is key.
Key Accountabilities:
* Establish a new PMO from the ground up.
* Provide leadership and set the direction for the PMO.
* Create and manage comprehensive programme plans using tools like Microsoft Project and POL.
* Build and maintain relationships with SEP programme stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
* Collaborate with project teams to monitor project plans and track progress.
* Oversee the cadence of programme and project governance.
* Work closely with other SEP PMO and PMO Analysts to ensure consistent practises and understanding of the current state.
* Report status through SEP governance, ensuring alignment on issues and resolutions.
* Establish standard governance processes across projects and programmes for performance, risk, dependencies, and costs.
* Drive RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management across SEP workstreams.
* Collaborate with Finance to ensure project and programme financial reporting meets requirements.

* Proven experience in building and leading a new project office.
* Ability to establish, maintain, and control project plans with input from subject matter experts.
* Strong knowledge of PMO and responsibilities.
* A solid background in process and performance improvement.
* Experience leading multiple teams and managing resources in a matrix environment.
* Ability to engage with senior stakeholders to understand their needs and set clear expectations.
