We are supporting various customers worldwide in automotive electrical and electronics systems development. We are recruiting for experienced automotive resident engineers supporting the customer on-site as Single point of Contact (SPOC) for body commodity project communication throughout solution development/ delivery, prototype build and MP ramp-up. Your responsibilities1 Communication link between Bertrandt body engineering team and customer during product development Plan and lead design review, status reporting meetings and attend appropriate customer led meetings Maintain status for functional, weight, cost, craftmanship and quality targets using customer templates Liaise with customer engineers to minimize complexity and tooling investment Collaborate with customer to achieve surface, package and manufacturing feasibility Communicate CAE feedback on attribute performance & requirements for additional analyses Report and interpret results of tolerance analyses and provide input to craftmanship Gap and Rad Plan Support DFMEA and identification of SC & CCs Coordinate bid specifications for bought-out components/ assemblies Support customer product development process (PEP) task look ahead and deliverables planning Prioritise timely and accurate delivery of data to support product development project milestones Support engineering release and change management processes as well as resolution of pre-production build issues Interact with project team members in the UK, Germany and other locations as required What you bring along: Experience with either Body exterior Trim; Interior Trim; Seating or Body in White Proven ability to self-mange workload and maintain a workplan to ensure project deliverables are met Ability to comprehend all technical content through previous work developing similar commodities Well developed ability to communicate effectively with activists at all levels within Bertrandt and the customer’s organisation Demonstrate the ability to be an independent and proactive actor in the interests of the project Experience in leading effective meetings (reviews, status report-outs and for issue resolution) Used to being flexible to the demands of the working environment Experience in KVS, LCA, MMC, Aeko, iQapture & KPM an advantage Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience Position is confirmed inside IR35. Successful candidates need to be eligible to work in the UK, hold a UK driver’s license and be able to travel to Europe and internationally. Support vehicle launch on site as required.
