In this role, you’ll play a key part in making sure cash is accurately allocated across our main company accounts, as well as the various Joint Venture accounts. You’ll also be involved in supporting purchase cards, coordinating with the companies travel provider Priority, and helping our cashbook clerks prepare regular payment runs, and ad-hoc payments. On top of that, you’ll work closely with the Cashbook Supervisor to review these payments, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days based in the office and two days working from home. During the training period, you will be expected to attend the office five days a week to ensure consistency and a smooth onboarding process.
To have a successful application, you will have:
* Experience in a previous treasury role
* IT skills – competency in Excel is essential
* COIN’s ERP experience would be advantageous
* Accuracy with figures and an eye for detail
* Ability to effectively manage a team
* Comfortable and confident working to tight deadlines
The role:
You'll be a valued member of the team, providing guidance to our Cashbook Clerks across all areas of Cashbook while delivering excellent customer service. You'll also step in to support the Cashbook Supervisor whenever they're unavailable, ensuring everything continues to run smoothly.
* The preparation and distribution of the daily cash report and cash variances to agreed schedules and by the deadlines set.
* Maintaining bank signatory lists across the wider business.
* The daily download and reconciliation of company’s bank accounts including JV’s.
* The managing and opening of bank accounts and maintain a high standard of banking relationships with Morgan Sindall relationship managers.
* Monthly bank reconciliations of all the bank accounts with explanations of any outstanding items.
* All unallocated cash is investigated and dealt with in a timely manner.
* Prepare weekly purchase ledger payment runs.
* Check for any CIS issues on the payment runs before sending out to the business for approvals.
* Monitor purchase card spend and reconcile unallocated receipts.
* Monthly posting of the interest on the bank account to the individual business units.
* Prepare any ad hoc payments requested during the day from the business units in a timely manner and ensuring these are signed off in accordance with delegation of authority matrix.
* Assisting in the yearly audits in answering any questions raised with allocations.
* Ensure the direct debit schedule is kept up to date and sent out to the business quarterly for checking.
* Provide high quality customer service to our internal stakeholders.
* Any ad hoc duties that may arise.
* Help cultivate and play your part in maintaining a great team environment.
