About the Role: As an SEN Learning Support, you will play a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting students with SEN, ensuring they can engage with the curriculum and reach their full potential. SEN Learning Support Responsibilities: Deliver personalised support to students with SEN, both individually and in group settings, using tailored strategies to address their unique needs. Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to develop and implement customised learning plans. Foster a nurturing and encouraging environment to enhance students’ self-confidence and overall well-being. Track student progress systematically, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents. Aid in classroom management, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space. Play an active role in designing and executing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) alongside the SEN team. Assist in preparing and organising educational materials to support learning activities. Encourage positive behaviour while helping students build essential social and emotional skills. SEN Learning Support Job Requirements: Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or Learning Support are highly advantageous. Proven experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting is essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents. A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to enhancing the educational experiences of students with SEN. The ability to adapt to various situations and respond effectively to the needs of individual students. Understanding of various Special Education Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD etc. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
