Job Title: Attendance Officer

We are supporting a secondary academy in their search for an organised and proactive Attendance Officer to join their team beginning as soon as possible. This role involves managing attendance data systems, promoting punctuality, and working closely with staff, students, and families to ensure high levels of attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain attendance data, ensuring accuracy in management information systems (MIS).
Analyse and present attendance data to identify trends, at-risk students, and areas for improvement.
Liaise with families and students to promote regular attendance, conducting home visits where necessary.
Implement attendance strategies and interventions, including parent and student meetings, to improve attendance levels.
Support reintegration programmes for students returning from extended absences and work with pastoral teams to address attendance-related concerns.
Assist with the preparation of documentation for attendance panels and legal processes when required.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong organisational and IT skills with experience in managing data.
Excellent communication skills to build effective relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Experience working in an educational environment and handling attendance data is desirable.
