This school supports children aged between 3 to 19 and caters for a variety of complex and severe needs, specializing in supporting non-verbal children and those with sensory impairments.
The role is very active and fast-paced, so they are looking for passionate, motivated, and enthusiastic SEN TAs who have a can-do attitude and will go above and beyond for the children. Experience is not required, making this a great opportunity for those looking to kick-start a career in special education or further develop their skills.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should:
* Have experience working with children with SEN, or a genuine passion for this.
* Be flexible, proactive, and patient.
* Be able to communicate effectively within a team.
* Be resilient, passionate, and driven to go above and beyond for children of all needs.
* Be open to providing personal care.
* Have a background in Education, Care, Psychology, or Drama, as these are very transferable.
* Training or experience in non-verbal communication is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential (e.g., Makaton, PECS).
* If you are looking to kick-start a career in SEN or are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role, please register with us, and you’ll be contacted within the next 48 hours.
Pay is up to £85.85 a day. If you have significant experience in a SEN environment, please speak to us regardless, and we can advise on relevant pay bands based on your experience.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
