Live-out or live-in driving nanny for 35/40 hours per week, East Finchley, N2 LOCATION: East Finchley, N2 START: ASAP / January 2025 SALARY: Live-out £20-21 gross per hour / Live-in: £30,000-£33,000 gross per annum DAYS: Monday to Friday HOURS: Live-out: Monday to Thursday 2pm – 7:30/8pm and Fridays 7:30am – 5:30pm Approx. 35 hours but open to offering 30-40 hours for the right person if you are flexible to additional evening babysitting. Live-in: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 9:30am (flexible), 2pm - 7:30/8pm and Fridays 7:30am – 5:30pm \ Approx. 40-45 hours plus one evening babysitting every week if needed CHILDREN: 4.5-year-old girl and 12-month-old baby DESCRIPTION: This wonderful family is looking for a responsible, patient, and caring DRIVING nanny to look after a gorgeous, engaging, and chatty 4-year-old little girl starting ASAP/January. She loves reading books, arts and crafts and is very curious about things so they would love a nanny who can support her development, have fun with her and stimulate her through play. Our returning clients also need help with their 12-month-old baby at certain times although mum will be around at times and this position will be a mix of sole and shared care. The mum will be returning to work in early February on 3 days per week and will work from home on 1 day. The role will involve some medical training as the older girl has a medical condition, and you will need to be trained to support her medical needs around checking her blood sugar levels. In term time she will be at school so you will need to pick her up and then bring her home to play and one day a week (Fridays) they will require you to spend the day with her at school. In the school holidays, you will be able to plan some activities and take her to the park, but you will always be responsible for ensuring her blood levels are being monitored. You do not need any previous medical experience and will get trained by Great Ormond Street as well as her parents. The family are looking for someone who is very calm under pressure, easy going, flexible and kind, who loves being active and who genuinely loves their job and spending time with children. They would love their nanny to be sociable, fun and follow their relaxed gentle parenting style. The role will require the nanny to work approx. 35 hours per week and they need someone who can also offer some degree of flexibility. It is important you have a fluent level of English-and are a very good communicator. They would love the new nanny to become part of their family and work in a team with their other nanny who does the morning shifts. They would like someone who is happy to cook healthy meals for their children and a driver is essential so you can drive the eldest child back from school which is close by. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 6 years nannying experience with babies from 12 months old up to school age children as well as being able to support with developmental milestones. Ideally you enjoy cooking fresh healthy meals for children. It is essential you are a native English speaker or have fluent written and spoken English. Willing to be trained by Great Ormond Street to support child’s medical condition. A confident driver is essential and someone who likes a more child led, gentle parenting approach. DUTIES: • Preparing and cooking the children’s meals following guidance from parents around the medical condition. • All usual nursery duties when there is time. • Follow and continue all routines for both children. • Pick up 4-year-old from school and other activities (10-minute drive). • Stimulate the children’s social development through conversation and play. • Take outdoors to parks and for walks. • Support with reaching the children’s milestones and attend the school once per week (Fridays). • Help to care for the baby (when not caring for the 4-year-old), following her routines, and taking to some activities. • Keeping the parents actively involved with the medial condition using WhatsApp and verbally.
