What skills and experience we're looking for
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed individual to join the 20 strong team as a Trust IT Manager at The Laurus Trust. The successful applicant will be able to choose the most convenient base school location, either Cheadle Hulme High School, Didsbury High School or Laurus Ryecroft (Tameside). You will become a key member of the Laurus Trust family, and will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the Trust.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of dedicated IT professionals who support and service the IT function in a fast-paced environment across 6 secondary, 4 sixth forms, 1 alternative provision and 5 primary schools for over 10,000 users. You will become an integral part of an expanding and progressive organisation, and be a key contributor to the strategic development and maintenance of the Trust IT provision, managing a small team of Technicians which in turn will support the continued delivery of outstanding education to our students.

Job Purpose
• Responsible for managing a team of IT Technicians and IT Team Leaders to ensure that they provide a high-quality service across all schools in the Trust.
• To ensure that legal and contractual obligations relating to IT resources, systems and services are met.
• Support the IT Director as part of a wider management team.
Key Skills & Experience
• Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Proven experience of maintaining and supporting PC, server and networking equipment.
• Strong understanding of computer networks and operating systems, usage and equipment configuration including Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Windows Server 2016-2022, Windows 10/11 and macOS.
