Job overview We are looking to appoint a full time locum Consultant with special interest in Endometriosis to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Jessop Wing of the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. This post is fixed term for 12 months. Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues. Main duties of the job Gynaecology commitments would include a general gynaecology clinic, endometriosis clinic, two operating lists per week with a session of MDT and Gynaecology on call with a frequency of 1 in 11. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria • Registered (or eligible to be registered) with the GMC with a licence to practise. • Name on the specialist register for relevant specialty. If an applicant is UK trained, they must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). • Postgraduate professional qualifications as appropriate to post i.e MRCOG or equivalent. Desirable criteria • MD or PhD or equivalent • Advanced laparoscopic ATSM or equivalent e.g fellowship in laparoscopy Research Essential criteria • Ability to critically assess published research and incorporate it into clinical practice where appropriate. Desirable criteria • Publications in Peer reviewed journals.
