Are you an experienced children's nurse looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an exceptional nurse, who is an inclusive compassionate leader with a commitment and passion for children's care to join our team as manager of our inpatient services at Pilgrim Hospital.
You will work within a supportive working environment alongside the other CYP Managers, Nurses Educators and current Band 6 team and will have the opportunity to develop and advance in your paediatric nursing and leadership skills.
As the Children's Unit Manager, you will lead, advise and support nursing, medical, and AHP colleagues in the acute setting on all aspects of care for children and young people with a focus on enhancing patient experience and maximising resources.
Applicants must be NMC RN(child)/RSCN, hold a relevant first degree and a teaching qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience of caring for children within the acute or community setting.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (Child)
* Teaching and assessing course, ENB 998 or equivalent
* Evidence of CPD and its applications
* Evidence of leadership and managerial development
* Nursing degree, or willingness to undertake
* EPALS/APLS
Previous Experience
* Evidence of current experience at Deputy sister/Charge Nurse as Band 6 or above
* Experience of staff management and clinical leadership
* Evidence of facilitating learning in clinical practice
* Experience of safeguarding children and working within a MDT approach
* Proven ability to implement and manage change
* Proven leadership and managerial capabilities
* Experience of risk management procedures
* Experience of working within an Outpatients environment
* Experience of involvement in clinical audit
* Experience of managing resources effectively
* Experience of attending child protection strategy meetings and child protection conferences.
