This pivotal role will drive our mission to expand and deepen partnerships with churches, Christian networks, and ministry leaders across the UK, aiming to secure 7,000 new child sponsors by the end of Financial Year 2026. Strategic Leadership Develop and implement a growth strategy aligned with World Vision UK’s mission and long-term objectives. Lead the Churches and Ministry Development teams in delivering measurable growth in child sponsorships, income, and church engagement. Establish clear goals, benchmarks, and KPIs to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ministry initiatives. Represent World Vision UK at a senior level, building and maintaining relationships with denominational leaders, church networks, and influencers to amplify the organisation’s reach and impact. Work with our global team to support a scaling and rolling out of our unique ‘Chosen’ Sponsorship selection process and find suitable UK based ministry opportunities to acquire as many new sponsors as possible. Church and Network Engagement Build long-term partnerships with key church leaders, networks, and events to drive sponsorship growth and ministry alignment. Deliver compelling presentations, sermons, and keynotes to inspire churches and supporters to engage with World Vision UK’s mission. Collaborate with church leaders to create tailored opportunities for partnership that meet both their ministry objectives and World Vision UK’s mission goals. Establish World Vision UK as a trusted partner for churches seeking to expand their global impact through child sponsorship and holistic ministry. Team Leadership and Development Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of managers and regional specialists. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation, where team members feel valued and empowered. Provide ongoing coaching and leadership development to equip team members for success. Promote a spirit of unity and partnership across the organisation by facilitating cross-departmental collaboration. Donor and Stakeholder Engagement Cultivate relationships with high-level donors, corporate partners, and influential stakeholders to expand major income streams, supporting colleagues in those specialist streams to maximise income potential for World Vision UK. Collaborate with the Philanthropy and Research teams to identify and engage potential partners with high-impact opportunities. Strengthen connections with existing donors, ensuring sustained commitment and growth in support. Operational Management Oversee departmental budgets and resources to ensure effective stewardship and alignment with organisational goals. Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership, offering data-driven insights into progress and challenges. Champion continuous improvement by refining operational processes to optimise efficiency and impact. Essential Criteria Proven Church Leadership and/or denominational leadership experience. Experience in marketing and communications. Strong personal commitment to the Christian faith, embodying World Vision UK’s mission to serve children in Jesus’s name. Proven success in a senior leadership role within a mission-driven, fundraising, or sales-focused organisation. Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with experience in preaching or engaging with church and ministry audiences. Proven track record of building partnerships with church leaders, networks, or influencers to advance organisational objectives. Strong team leadership experience, including managing and developing teams with diverse skill sets. Expertise in operational planning, budget management, and performance monitoring. Salary: £59,375 - £62,500 per annum, dependent on experience good range of benefits. Contract: Permanent. Hours: Full time - 36.5 hours per week.
