Role: Secondary Teacher

Long-Term Teachers are proud to support an outstanding, supportive and inclusive special school in the heart of Exeter, who are seeking a dedicated, qualified teacher to provide essential cover and support on a long-term basis. Supporting students aged 3-19 with complex needs, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring continuity and facilitating their learning.
The role:
* Deliver personalised lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with additional needs across KS3 and KS4.
* Create a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning and development
* Collaborate with a dedicated team of professional, including teaching assistants and specialists, to support the students’ educational and emotional needs
* Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEP’s), ensuring that each student’s progress is tracked and monitored
* Engage with parents, caregivers and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students
About you:
* Previous teaching experience is essential. You must have qualified teacher status (QTS)
* Previous experience working with additional needs
* Excellent knowledge of the UK national curriculum
* Sound knowledge of additional needs and strategies to support young people
* Hold high expectations of young people and their outcomes
* Must be able to drive and have access to your own car
Working hours will be 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
