We are currently looking for a candidate who will lead on the creation, maintenance, and growth of our modern web applications either as a Backend (Node.js) OR Frontend (React) Engineer; within these roles you will: Play a key role in expanding and integrating solutions across various customer-focused digital experiences. Make sure applications are accessible, consistent and user-friendly. Work with Engineering, Product, Enterprise Systems, and cross-functional teams to find solutions and develop applications that improve consistency, quality, and market competitiveness/readiness. A Typical Day Help drive the technical vision and strategy for web application development. Contribute to the design and implementation of state of the art web application, providing technical guidance and help fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Collaborate closely with the business and engineering stakeholders to ensure that the technical development of web application capabilities is fully aligned with the broader objectives and integrates seamlessly with existing strategic systems. Work with Product and UX, Engineering and Data Governance teams to ensure new products are quickly ideated, built and deployed to customers. Stay updated on the latest tools, methodologies, and best practices in the field. Test and make suggestions to ensure all applications are working, accessible and user-friendly. You must have GCSE English & Maths 4-9 (C-A) or equivalent Skills needed Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex details to non-technical stakeholders. Good ability to operate within a fast paced, dynamic environment. A flexible and adaptable attitude to work, with the ability to accept and drive change. Good communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical audiences. The ability to grasp concepts quickly and work independently or as part of a team.
