About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dietitian to join our team at Thornford Park, a secure mental health and learning disabilities service. As a Specialist Dietitian, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our dietetic service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide personalized assessment and treatment programs for males with mental illness and complex care needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to support service users in achieving their goals.
* Provide dietetic clinical services, including individual and group interventions, to promote healthy eating habits and support mental health recovery.
* Collaborate with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to establish effective communication and ensure seamless care pathways.
* Maintain accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and professional standards.
* Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid patient mental health recovery.
* Provide training and education to colleagues and patients, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
Requirements
* Diploma or degree in Dietetics
* HCPC Registration
* Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 & CPA
* Experience of working in a similar setting
