Senior Project Controls Manager:
As a Senior Project Controls Manager based in Midlands, you will add value to project/programme teams on niche and high-profile schemes across the infrastructure sector for our reputable clients.
Your Purpose:
* Supervision and management of a Project Controls team, setting individuals' objectives, reviewing performance, and providing ongoing feedback.
* Developing and monitoring the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
* Agreeing on the progress measurement methodology with the contractor and ensuring timely submission of project actuals.
* Measuring current performance and predicting future performance using valid performance measurement techniques such as earned value management.
* Collating performance & progress data related to time, cost, risk, change, and quality, and providing high quality, accurate periodic reports for project/programme leaders.
* Sustaining and improving planning, risk, cost control, change control management policies, and ensuring proper application by project controls teams.
* Chairing and facilitating project/programme level change forums and ensuring all choices are enacted within the change control system.
* Advising project/programme leaders by providing specialist advice to resolve or mitigate delays and issues throughout the project.
* Undertaking self-assessment of procedural compliance and sharing lessons learned within the wider Project Controls community.
What you bring:
* Successful leadership with a proven track record of delivering results within a large-scale project environment.
* Exceptional skills and experience at managing stakeholders such as clients and senior leaders.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
* Proven expertise in a Project Management or Project Controls Management position within complex infrastructure projects.
* Preferably holding a formal professional Project Management or project controls management qualification or certification.
* Proficiency in EVM processes and their application in complex infrastructure projects.
* Experience of project controls management under NEC Forms of Contract.
* Experience in a client organization for a complex infrastructure project/programme.
* A good appreciation of Quantitative Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis (QSRA/QCRA) and baseline management.
* Resilience, with the ability to maintain rational thought in a high-pressure environment.
