This individual will lead website redesign and other digital transformation projects, ensuring web experiences are optimized for engagement, conversion, and SEO performance. With a strong background in digital marketing, user experience, and data-driven strategy, the Digital Strategist will work closely with internal design & development teams and clients to interpret business goals and translate them into actionable digital solutions. They will provide strategic vision and guide Spark451’s higher education clients through complex digital initiatives, and ensure that websites and digital campaigns effectively serve audience needs. Essential Tasks Lead web projects from discovery to launch, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and enrollment objectives. Act as a strategic consultant, interpreting client needs and translating them into data-driven digital solutions, while ensuring that projects stay on time and within scope and budget. Develop and execute digital strategies, including SEO, content strategy, and user experience enhancements, to drive student engagement and conversion. Collaborate with designers, developers, and marketing teams to create high-performing, user-friendly web experiences. Analyze website performance and digital marketing data, providing actionable insights to optimize engagement and enrollment outcomes. Stay ahead of digital trends in higher education to ensure best practices in accessibility, mobile-first design, and personalization. Understand and meet the needs of each client’s brand and represent their messaging accurately and memorably. Work with the account management team to define key strategic issues and their impact on client/agency objectives and ensure development of realistic project schedules. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Skills and Experience 3 years of relevant professional experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field. Experienced in website redesign and development projects, including expertise in website architecture, UX/UI best practices, SEO, and analytics. Understanding of higher education recruitment needs for a variety of populations such as undergraduate, graduate, adult and transfer. Familiarity with most popular CMSs used widely in the industry. Excellent understanding of Microsoft products (Word and PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills – including presentation skills. Ability to maintain collaborative, effective working relationships with fellow team members, employees, and management. Must be extremely organized and detail oriented. Proven ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality and autonomy. Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly. Understanding of student recruitment and enrollment marketing is a plus. Experience with Figma is a plus.
