The successful candidate will be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to A-Level teaching for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver dynamic History lessons that foster curiosity and debate
* Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach A-Level
* Assess and track student progress, providing targeted support where necessary
* Encourage historical enquiry, source analysis, and critical thinking skills
* Create a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement
* Work collaboratively within the humanities department to develop engaging resources
* Support extracurricular activities such as history clubs, trips, and competitions
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 (A-Level experience is desirable but not essential)
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching history
* Excellent classroom management and the ability to engage all learners
* A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to department initiatives
