Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Telford, UK Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM Role Overview: Are you ready to take the lead in developing cutting-edge manufacturing processes? We are seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with a background in high-pressure die casting, injection moulding, or similar technologies. You'll play a pivotal role in the advancement of technologies, including die casting, CNC, heat treatment, assembly, and automation. Key Responsibilities: Develop concepts and specify equipment requirements. Standardise documentation from concept to production. Lead the creation and update of equipment Statements of Requirements (SORs). Identify and verify new suppliers, and manage supplier relationships. Oversee equipment procurement, installation, and major CAPEX projects. Lean Manufacturing Optimisation Employ Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency. Optimize product flow and implement Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Develop pre-production packaging for WIP and finished goods. Project Management Manage equipment project timelines and budgets. Lead equipment testing and final acceptance. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred). Proven experience with die casting, injection moulding, or stamping within the automotive industry.
