Job introduction Seasonal Train Drivers/Cashiers Required at the historic Volk's Electric Railway on Brighton Seafront The Volk’s Railway requires seasonal train drivers/cashiers for the summer season of 2025. We are looking for energetic, positive people who are passionate about our historic seafront and who have proven exceptional customer service. About the role You will be required to work from March through to the end of September. Holidays during the season will need to be agreed with the manager so that the service is not affected. Your duties will be to safety see the customers on and off the trains, to safely drive the trains and when not rostered to drive trains that day to perform station duties including selling tickets/cashiering and any other duties that may be required. Full training including health and safety will be given for all of these duties. You must be: 21 years old or over to drive a passenger train. Physically able to stand for long periods of time. Able to pass the medical. Have experience of customer service and be able to show courtesy and compassion. To be able to be an integral working member of a happy respectful team. To be punctual and reliable, turning up for work fully prepared for the day ahead. We operate a strictly no drugs or alcohol policy. We are looking for 2 part time relief driver/cashier to provide lunch cover between the hours of 1200 and 1600 Monday to Friday or Wednesday to Sunday.
