Business Operations Analyst
Location: London or Manchester – hybrid working model (2 days office based, 3 days remote)

A fantastic opportunity to secure a Business Operations Analyst role on a permanent basis within Smart DCC. The Business Operations Analyst will be highly motivated, organised and excited to join our team. The role includes a wide range of activities including supporting smooth operation of our business, project management, functional risk and issue identification and management, maintaining budgets, reporting and change management, ensuring effective communication across departments and wider activities depending on the requirements of the function.
What will you be doing?
1. Schedule and run business operations activities, tasks, and meetings to a high capability. Meetings are to be pre-planned and agendas, minutes, actions and pre-reading sent in advance to ensure preparation is at the forefront.
2. Establish productive relationships with other functions, supporting key messages and serving as a representative for Service Delivery.
3. Facilitate the strategy for continuous improvement, supporting solutions to address functional needs and ensuring key metrics are reported and leveraged to improve business operations.
4. Produce reports within the reporting cadence and calendar ensuring content is accurate, relevant, and appropriate - maintain the ‘single version of the truth’ for business operations.
5. Assist the Head of Business Operations with both functional and DCC wide innovation effort, leveraging new tools and methodologies to capitalise on business opportunities.
6. Enhance and maintain the communication plan for Service Delivery, facilitating All Hands meetings and agendas to ensure effective internal communication.
7. Contribute to a positive work environment by supporting the implementation and maintenance of the functional employee engagement plan.
What are we looking for?
1. Extensive experience in business administration, operations, or a related role, with experience in project management and project coordination, and strong working knowledge of best practice risk and issue management, planning, budgeting, reporting and change control disciplines.
2. Strong communication, collaboration and relationship development/management skills including the confidence to effectively challenge others when and where appropriate.
3. Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
4. Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability with the capacity to identify trends and help shape and propose solutions to problems and appropriately prioritise activities.
5. Proficient use of MS applications including Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio with data analysis and dashboard presentation skills with Power BI and advanced Excel.
6. Strong initiative and drive, self-motivated with an aptitude to work well under pressure and with low supervision.
