Carry out Enforcement functions to enable the Council to meet its statutory obligations of environmental protection, including inspection, enforcement, education, and advice.
1. Carry out Enforcement functions in a customer-facing front-line environment, representing the Council in often challenging circumstances in the execution of duties.
2. Carry out Enforcement functions from an office base (25% - 40%) and from site-based visits to premises in the Council area (60% - 75%), carrying appropriate equipment.
3. Work as part of an Enforcement team in accordance with statutory requirements and in compliance with relevant Council policies and procedures.
4. Represent the Council as a duly authorised Officer to educate and work in partnership with relevant internal and external organisations to enhance the safety and wellbeing of the public.
