We are seeking a Structural Engineer to work as a member of our vertical structures team in our Hartford, CT office.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct independent field investigations and building assessments
* Design and specify structural systems for new building construction and renovations
* Utilize drafting software (AutoCAD and Revit) for project tasks.
* Perform structural analysis of building systems
* Review contractor submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements
* Conduct field visits to document existing conditions before and during construction
* Mentor junior staff on structural engineering tasks
* Coordinate with other trades and disciplines on project activities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering; master’s degree in structural engineering
* 3+ years of experience required, consulting experience
* EIT certification required; PE certification or ability to obtain within 2 years
* Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Experience with design and drafting using AutoCAD and Revit
* Experience with concrete, steel, and timber design
