We are seeking an inspiring individual to launch and lead the studio function of Pubity Group. This is a rare opportunity to shape and establish a team at the heart of a generational business during an exciting time of growth. The studio will create a wide variety of impactful work to drive forward our mission of positivity, often in partnership with leading consumer brands.
The VP Solutions is a senior management position, reporting directly to the CEO initially. The role blends strategic, analytical, creative, design, and content production responsibilities, requiring keen operational understanding and attention to detail to maintain high standards and ensure smooth workflows through the team and other departments.
A major aspect of this role is taking ownership of our product range. Working collaboratively with our social and commercial teams, the studio will lead the charge in developing, defining, and packaging our most compelling strands of content programming, serving as our lead formats; highly engaging for our communities and brand partners alike.
The studio will produce a broad range of content, from one-offs to seasonal campaigns, and help bring our long-term creative platform ambitions to life, including our social good initiative.
We are looking for a proven or emerging leader who can draw on relevant industry experience to realize our studio ambitions. Someone who instills confidence and quality within their team, is comfortable and engaging with clients, and shares the positive mindset of all our managers in the business. The VP Solutions is someone who takes pride in delivering world-class creative strategy in a modern fast-moving media setting and has an entrepreneurial desire to win accolades and break new ground for Pubity Group.
Leadership
1. Align the studio with the core goals, aims, and values of the business.
2. Innovate with existing assets and unearth new value-generating opportunities.
3. Guide the team to overcome short-term challenges.
4. Strategically plan ahead with a keen sense for major risks and opportunities.
5. Be a positive figurehead for the studio and the wider business.
6. Set high benchmarks around quality and conduct, embodying these standards.
7. Pay keen attention to news and developments in the industry, sharing vital knowledge with the team.
Studio Scope
1. Create and evolve a data & insights pillar of the team.
2. Set up our strategic function for commercial partnerships and our own-brand needs.
3. Oversee the creative function.
4. Grow a design arm to own the overall visual direction.
5. Steer and support the production division, bringing stories and experiences to life.
Team Culture
1. Be hands-on with recruitment of key personnel; develop trustworthy leaders in each area of the studio.
2. Foster a high-expectation culture filled with curiosity, honesty, collaboration, and recognition.
3. Communicate and champion department KPIs ensuring alignment.
4. Ensure personal OKRs are rolled out, and be attentive to individual performance needs.
5. Support ongoing training and personal development.
Operational
1. Financial management, taking charge of a department budget/P&L.
2. Accountable for processes and admin best practices.
3. Constant communication and troubleshooting with fellow managers.
4. Provide timely and concise reports to the CEO as agreed.
5. Provide recurring forecasting and performance analysis across the team.
6. Be a valued contributor in management meetings and participate in wider business planning.
We require someone with 10+ years of highly relevant career experience, with 2+ years in a similar position, preferably at a disruptive publisher, creative agency, or social platform. The ideal candidate will show a deep understanding of the modern consumer landscape, with a genuine interest in how social intersects with commerce and culture.
