Job Title: Estimator
Location: Glasgow and across Scotland
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Our client, a civil engineering contractor, is looking to strengthen its team by appointing an experienced Estimator for a permanent role based in Glasgow.
The ideal candidate will work within the commercial team, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and a proven track record in a variety of civil engineering contracts. You should possess excellent technical knowledge and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Tender Identification & Management:
Identify suitable tenders for pricing.
Download and analyse tender documents.
Provide accurate, detailed quotations and prepare tender submissions.
Estimating & Documentation:
Gather necessary information and complete Bills of Quantities.
Log, track, and monitor tender submissions and successful bids.
Post-Award Handover:
Ensure a seamless handover of contracts to the delivery teams, ensuring all relevant details are communicated.
Assist with administrative and filing tasks for the Estimating Team.
Requirements:
Experience:
A minimum of three years in the construction industry, ideally in Estimating, Procurement, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
Experience working on civil and renewables projects is desirable.
Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Other:
A valid UK driving licence.
A proactive and responsible approach, with a positive "can-do" attitude.
