Applications are invited for this SUBSTANTIVE post, to join the established team of paediatricians in the Neonatal Unit in NHS Ayrshire and Arran. This is an acute paediatric post and will be based in the Neonatal Unit at Ayrshire Maternity Unit, University Hospital Crosshouse. The successful applicant will be committed to the team running the Neonatal Unit, participating in acute neonatal ‘hot weeks’ and on-call for neonatology (1 in 6, with prospective cover). Applicants will be appropriately experienced with Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice, and shall be eligible for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register. Non UK applicants require to demonstrate equivalent training. MRCPCH or equivalent is also essential. The Terms and Conditions of service are those determined by the Terms and Conditions of the New Consultant Contract (Scotland) 2004 and is offered on a 10 Programmed Activity basis. Opportunities may exist for Extra Programmed Activities subject to service requirements. Applications from individuals who may wish to work on a part-time or job share basis will be considered.
