Join our team as a Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative
We are currently recruiting across Kent, Surrey and Sussex for upcoming works for mobile grounds maintenance operatives.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various grounds maintenance tasks, working from a company supplied van equipped with all the required tools to conduct the required works.
You will work alongside a long-serving management team, ensuring our operatives can settle in and get to know the customers, and just focus on and enjoy the work they do. You will receive full daily operational support, job and administration management through our PDAs and daily schedule management. We manage your systems so that you can concentrate on just doing a great job for the client.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Perform general grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and weeding.
* Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees.
* Use hand tools and power tools to build and maintain landscape features.
* Operate and maintain mechanical equipment such as lawn mowers and strimmers.
* Keep outdoor areas clean and free of debris.
* Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken e.g., completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job.
* Ensure that Health and Safety procedures and safe working practices are adhered to at all times.
* Build positive working relationships with clients and ensure that all work is completed to a satisfactory level.
You will have:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in gardening.
* Proven ability to work independently and show initiative in maintaining gardens.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with clients.
* Proficient in the use of common gardening tools and equipment.
* In-depth plant knowledge and the ability to recommend plants for various garden settings.
* Strong organisational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
