The PCN Practices are: Balderton Primary Care Centre Barnby Gate Surgery (training practice) Collingham Medical Centre (training practice) Fountain Medical Centre (training practice) Hounsfield Surgery Lombard Medical Centre (training practice) Southwell Medical Centre (training practice) Newark PCN serves a patient population exceeding 79,000, comprising seven GP practices, some of which are accredited training practices. The PCN spans both rural and urban areas, with individual practice list sizes ranging from approximately 5,000 to 22,000 patients. All practices use SystmOne. Newark PCN employs a diverse range of additional healthcare professionals, including Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Nursing Associates, and Social Prescribers. The PCN also benefits from a well-established Care Homes team, led by an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), and operates a local home visiting service to further support patient care. Main duties of the job This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity for a newly or recently qualified GP to gain invaluable experience across a diverse range of practices within Newark PCN. The successful candidate will rotate through different practices, spending dedicated blocks of time in each, allowing for full integration into the teams and the opportunity to understand the varied operational dynamics of each practice. As a newly or recently qualified GP, you will benefit from daily support from experienced GP colleagues and will be appointed a dedicated GP supervisor within the PCN, ensuring ongoing guidance and professional development throughout your transition into independent practice.
