Constantly review the performance of the service and ensure that it meets all service delivery targets. Actively explore and implement opportunities for cost improvement. To lead on the development of the research and audit strategies and implementation plans within the gastroenterology services. Lead the team in CQC readiness, improvement plans, and provide advice when required and maintain adherence to CQC standards and regulations. Regular review of Key Performance Indicators for the service and for individual clinicians Design and contribute to the annual audit programme Take a key lead in JAG accreditation of all endoscopy sites. Involvement in the creation and review of policies and standard operating procedures relevant to the service. Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients within the gastroenterology pathway. Perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. Conduct thorough pre-procedure assessments and obtain informed consent from patients. Interpret findings accurately and provide timely feedback to patients, referring physicians and healthcare teams as required. To ensure doctors in the service participate in the appraisal process and contribute to the appraisal system. Involvement in recruitment of permanent and sessional clinicians in line with the companies HR processes. Ensure that clinicians maintain a fitness to practice.
